What does Aminadab represent in the story? How does he act as a foil for Aylmer? What do you think of him?

Aminadab is Aylmer's servant. Aminadab does most of the physical work while Aylmer tells him what to do. Unlike Aylmer, Aminadab says if Gerogiana was his wife, he would never remove the birth mark. That is the absolute opposite of Aylmer who cannot bear to have it because he sees it as her only flaw. He wants to correct nature and make something "perfect" but ends up paying for it in the end.

Aminadab is a very important part of the story because he represents the muscle behind alymers operation. I like Aminadab because he reminds me of eyegore from Young Frankenstein.

I agree with Jared. Aminadab represents Alymers inability to sucessfully complete his ideas and visions. Alymer has the brains needed to work in his lab, but cannot fully complete tasks without the muscles Aminadab.

aminadab represents the friend that some people have that dont want to change anything, after alymer started the procedure aminadab wispered under his breath that he would keep the birthmark and he wouldnt change her. i think that there should be more people in the world like that because some people want to feel loved and dont want to be judged by others.

I don't know if my last post worked...but I think he is a lot smarter than he's given credit for. perhaps he represents common sense while Alymer is book smarts gone bad.

Aminadab is seemingly comfortable with the way that Georgianna is, he even says, "If she were my wife, I'd never part with that birthmark". In other words, he appreciates the birthmark for the way it is. Because of this, I think that Aminadab represents natural beauty and uniqueness of people.

Aminadab represents the other side of life meaning the side that doesn't care and sees the beauty in imperfection.

I think that Aminadab represents realism. He sees Georgiana as a beautiful person and does not want to change her. He sees her beauty in every aspect, even her birthmark. He represents a true man who does not want to change Georgiana in any way.

Aminadab brings out the shallowness in Aylmer. If comparing the to characters (Aylmer & Aminadab) clearly one represents fakeness(Aylmer) and one represents idealism(Aminadab).

I think Aminadab is more of a caring person than Aylmer.

Continuation:
Alymer is limited by having aminadab because alymer is only as strong Aminadabs interpretations of alymer's directions. For example when alymer says "throw open the door of the boudoir", if Aminadab were to misinterpet that command, it would negativley affect the outcome of Alymer's work.

Aminadab represents how a man should act. He is strong, pays attention to detail, and gets the job done right. He is a lot smarter than he is portrayed. Aylmer is the opposite of Aminabad. He is book smart but seems to lack common sence. He is very dependent on Aminadab.

In the story Aminadab plays an important part and is Aylmer's servant. Throughout the story I see Aminadab as a intelligent and bright person and respects people for who they are.

Aminadab represents the physical nature of man. He is a foil for Aylmer because Aylmer is portrayed as the emotional nature of man. Aminadab is strong, shaggy and not too bright. While Aylmer is thin, pale and extremely smart. I think Aminadab is a great guy. He seems like a real nice person deep down.

Aminadab seems like such a sweet character in the story. It sounds as if he believes in inner beauty and it is not afraid of admitting that he adores georgiana's birthmark. By him being a foil character of Aylmer, he shows more muscular strength.

Aminadab represents the ideal servant. He is strong, obedient, and loyal. He never questions Aylmer until the end when he tries to persuade his master to not go through with the experiment.

Aminadab is the complete opposite of Aylmer in the story. Aminadab does all the physical work while Aylmer uses his mind to tell Aminadab what he should be doing. I think even though Aylmer is the "smarter" one in the story, Aminadab has more common sense, which you can tell because he mentions that he wouldn't change Georgiana at all.

Aminadab is prolly one of the most important characters if not the most important. Aylmer and Aminadab are foils because Aylmer does nothing compared to Aminadab who does every thing. Aminadab is a hard work guy.

Aminadab is Aylmers servant. He acts as a foil of Aylmer because he says that if Georgiana was his wife he wouldnt change her. This is the exact opposite of what Aylmer believes. I think that Aminadab represents what people should be thinking, and hes pretty real, he doesnt try to make things what they arnt.

Aminadab represents a true man, and how a true man should love a woman no matter, how many or what imperfections the woman he loves has. It just goes to show the reader how much of a jerk Alymer is.

Aminadab is Alymers servant who pretty much does all the physical labor. He is a foil to Alymer because he would accept Georgiana regardless of the birthmark.
